How to Remove Plastic Stud Car Engine Mount Spark Plug
Step 1: Gather your tools
You will need the following tools to remove a plastic stud car engine mount spark plug:
* A socket wrench
* A spark plug socket
* A pair of pliers
* A flathead screwdriver
Step 2: Locate the spark plug
The spark plug is located on the top of the engine. It is usually covered by a rubber boot.
Step 3: Remove the rubber boot
Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the rubber boot off of the spark plug.
Step 4: Use the wrench to break loose the stud
Place the spark plug socket over the stud. Use the socket wrench to break loose the stud.
Step 5: Use the pliers to remove the stud
Once the stud is broken loose, use the pliers to remove it from the engine.
Step 6: Install the new spark plug
Install the new spark plug into the engine.
Step 7: Reattach the rubber boot
Reattach the rubber boot to the spark plug.
Tips
* If the stud is stuck, you can use a penetrating oil to help loosen it.
* Be careful not to overtighten the stud.
* Replace the spark plugs regularly to ensure that your engine is running properly.
