Safety Precautions

  • Park the Club Car on a level surface.
  • Set the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Wear safety glasses.
  • Use caution when working with sharp objects.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Remove the air cleaner.

Using a 10mm socket wrench, remove the two bolts that hold the air cleaner in place. Lift the air cleaner off the engine.

2. Remove the fuel line.

Using a 17mm socket wrench, loosen the fuel line nut. Pull the fuel line off the engine.

3. Remove the oil cooler lines.

Using a 19mm socket wrench, loosen the oil cooler line nuts. Pull the oil cooler lines off the engine.

4. Remove the exhaust manifold.

Using a 15mm socket wrench, remove the nuts that hold the exhaust manifold to the engine. Lift the exhaust manifold off the engine.

5. Remove the starter motor.

Using a 13mm socket wrench, remove the two bolts that hold the starter motor to the engine. Pull the starter motor off the engine.

6. Remove the alternator.

Using a 15mm socket wrench, remove the nut that holds the alternator to the engine. Pull the alternator off the engine.

7. Remove the power steering pump.

Using a 17mm socket wrench, remove the two bolts that hold the power steering pump to the engine. Pull the power steering pump off the engine.

8. Remove the A/C compressor.

Using a 19mm socket wrench, remove the bolts that hold the A/C compressor to the engine. Pull the A/C compressor off the engine.

9. Remove the engine mounts.

Using a 21mm socket wrench, remove the bolts that hold the engine mounts to the engine. Lift the engine off the Club Car.

Tips

  • If you are having difficulty removing any of the bolts, use a breaker bar.
  • Be careful not to damage the engine or any of the components when removing it.
