Introduction

  • 1/8″ diameter clear acrylic rod
  • Super glue
  • Acetone
  • Sandpaper
  • Polishing compound

Instructions

  1. Cut the clear acrylic sheet to the desired size of the engine stand. The stand should be wide enough to accommodate the model car and long enough to provide adequate support.
  2. Cut the black acrylic sheet to a smaller size than the clear acrylic sheet. This will be the base of the engine stand.
  3. Cut the white acrylic sheet to a smaller size than the black acrylic sheet. This will be the top of the engine stand.
  4. Drill a 1/4″ hole in the center of the clear acrylic sheet. This hole will be used to insert the clear acrylic rod.
  5. Drill a 1/8″ hole in the center of the black acrylic sheet. This hole will be used to insert the clear acrylic rod.
  6. Drill a 1/16″ hole in the center of the white acrylic sheet. This hole will be used to insert the screw that will hold the engine stand together.
  7. Super glue the black acrylic sheet to the clear acrylic sheet. Make sure that the holes are aligned.
  8. Super glue the white acrylic sheet to the black acrylic sheet. Make sure that the holes are aligned.
  9. Insert the clear acrylic rod into the hole in the center of the engine stand. The rod should be long enough to extend above the top of the engine stand.
  10. Insert the screw into the hole in the center of the engine stand. The screw should be long enough to hold the engine stand together.
  11. Sand the edges of the engine stand smooth.
  12. Polish the engine stand with polishing compound.
