How to Start Car Engine With Remote
Starting your car engine with a remote is a convenient way to warm up your car in the winter or cool it down in the summer before you get in. It can also be useful if you’re parked in a tight spot and don’t want to have to get out of your car to start it.
To start your car engine with a remote, you will need:
- A car with a remote start system
- A remote start key fob
Once you have these items, you can follow these steps to start your car engine with a remote:
1. Make sure your car is in park and the parking brake is on.
This is important for safety reasons. You don’t want your car to roll away while you’re starting it remotely.
2. Press the “lock” button on your remote start key fob.
This will arm the remote start system and prepare your car to be started.
3. Press the “remote start” button on your remote start key fob.
This will send a signal to your car to start the engine.
4. Wait for your car engine to start.
It may take a few seconds for your car engine to start. Once it starts, you will hear the engine running and the headlights will turn on.
5. Get in your car and drive away.
Once your car engine is running, you can get in your car and drive away. Just be sure to put your car in drive before you start driving.
Here are some additional tips for starting your car engine with a remote:
- Make sure your remote start key fob is within range of your car. The range of most remote start key fobs is about 100 feet.
- If your car engine doesn’t start after you press the “remote start” button, try pressing the button again. Sometimes it takes a few tries for the remote start system to work.
- If you have any problems starting your car engine with a remote, consult your car’s owner’s manual for more information.
