How to Raise a Car to Remove Engine from Underneath

Step 2: Jack Up the Car

Step 3: Remove the Engine Mounts
With the car raised, you can now start to remove the engine mounts. These are usually located on the sides of the engine. Consult your car’s owner’s manual for the specific locations of the engine mounts.
Once you have located the engine mounts, you can start to remove them. This usually involves unbolting the mounts from the engine and the frame of the car.
Step 4: Remove the Engine

Step 5: Reinstall the Engine
