How to Put Engine o Hoist My Summer Car

Materials

• Engine hoist
• Engine
• Transmission
• Drive shaft
• Wrench
• Socket set

Instructions

1. Park the car on a level surface.
2. Set the parking brake.
3. Disconnect the battery.
4. Remove the hood.
5. Locate the engine hoist points.
6. Attach the engine hoist to the engine hoist points.
7. Lift the engine out of the car.
8. Disconnect the transmission from the engine.
9. Disconnect the drive shaft from the transmission.
10. Remove the transmission from the car.
11. Install the new engine in the car.
12. Connect the transmission to the engine.
13. Connect the drive shaft to the transmission.
14. Lower the engine into the car.
15. Attach the engine hoist to the engine hoist points.
16. Tighten the engine hoist bolts.
17. Remove the engine hoist.
18. Install the hood.
19. Connect the battery.
20. Start the car.

Tips

• Be sure to use the correct size engine hoist for the weight of the engine.
• Use a spotter to help you lift the engine.
• Be careful not to damage the engine or transmission when lifting it.
• Be sure to tighten the engine hoist bolts securely.

Troubleshooting
