How to Put Engine o Hoist My Summer Car
Materials
- Engine hoist
- Engine
- Transmission
- Drive shaft
- Wrench
- Socket set
Instructions
- Park the car on a level surface.
- Set the parking brake.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove the hood.
- Locate the engine hoist points.
- Attach the engine hoist to the engine hoist points.
- Lift the engine out of the car.
- Disconnect the transmission from the engine.
- Disconnect the drive shaft from the transmission.
- Remove the transmission from the car.
- Install the new engine in the car.
- Connect the transmission to the engine.
- Connect the drive shaft to the transmission.
- Lower the engine into the car.
- Attach the engine hoist to the engine hoist points.
- Tighten the engine hoist bolts.
- Remove the engine hoist.
- Install the hood.
- Connect the battery.
- Start the car.
Tips
- Be sure to use the correct size engine hoist for the weight of the engine.
- Use a spotter to help you lift the engine.
