Instructions
- Cut the aluminum plate to the desired size for the engine block. Drill and tap the holes for the cylinder head bolts.
- Cut the steel plate to the desired size for the cylinder head. Drill and tap the holes for the spark plug and the exhaust valve.
- Machine the 1/4-inch diameter steel rod to the desired length for the crankshaft. Drill and tap the holes for the connecting rod bolts.
- Machine the 1/8-inch diameter steel rod to the desired length for the camshaft. Drill and tap the holes for the rocker arm bolts.
- Machine the 1/4-inch diameter brass rod to the desired length for the connecting rod. Drill and tap the holes for the piston pin bolts.
- Machine the 1/8-inch diameter brass rod to the desired length for the rocker arms. Drill and tap the holes for the valve springs.
- Machine the 1/4-inch diameter copper wire to the desired length for the spark plug wire.
- Machine the 1/8-inch diameter copper wire to the desired length for the exhaust valve spring.
- Assemble the engine by bolting the cylinder head to the engine block. Insert the crankshaft into the engine block and bolt it in place. Insert the camshaft into the engine block and bolt it in place. Insert the connecting rod onto the crankshaft and bolt it in place. Insert the piston into the cylinder and bolt it in place. Insert the spark plug into the cylinder head and tighten it in place. Insert the exhaust valve into the cylinder head and tighten it in place. Connect the spark plug wire to the spark plug. Connect the exhaust valve spring to the exhaust valve. Fill the engine with oil and start it up.
