How to Lock Proton Car While Engine Running Using Key

Step 1: Insert the key into the ignition

First, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “on” position. Do not start the engine.

Step 2: Press and hold the lock button

Next, press and hold the lock button on the key fob. The button is usually located on the top or side of the fob.

Step 3: Wait for the doors to lock

Hold the lock button until you hear the doors lock. The locks will make a clicking sound when they engage.

Step 4: Release the lock button

Once the doors are locked, release the lock button.

Step 5: Start the engine

Finally, turn the key to the “start” position to start the engine.

• You can also lock the doors using the power lock switch on the driver’s door.
