How to Listen to Car Radio with Engine Off

There are a few different ways to listen to your car radio with the engine off.

Method 1: Use the Accessory Mode

1. Turn the key to the “Accessory” position.
2. This will turn on the radio and other accessories, but the engine will not start.
3. You can listen to the radio for as long as you want without draining the battery.

Method 2: Use an External Power Source

1. Connect a portable power source, such as a battery pack or a jump starter, to the cigarette lighter outlet.
2. This will provide power to the radio and other accessories without draining the car battery.
3. You can listen to the radio for as long as you want, but be sure to disconnect the power source when you’re finished.

Method 3: Use an FM Transmitter

1. Connect an FM transmitter to the headphone jack of your car stereo.
2. Tune your FM radio to the frequency that the transmitter is broadcasting on.
3. You can now listen to your car stereo through your FM radio.
4. This method is not as good as the other two methods, as the sound quality may not be as good and the signal may be weaker.

Tips

• Be sure to turn off the radio when you’re finished listening to it, or you may drain the battery.
