How to Find Out What Engine Your Car Has

1. Check the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

The VIN is a unique 17-character code that can be found on the driver’s side door jamb, under the hood, or on the dashboard. The VIN contains information about the make, model, year, and engine of your car.
