How to Build a RC Car with IC Engine
Materials
- 1/10 scale RC car chassis
- IC engine (2.5cc – 3.5cc)
- Fuel tank
- Fuel lines
- Air filter
- Muffler
- Glow plug
- Starter box
- Radio system
- Steering servo
- Throttle servo
- Tools
Instructions
1. Mount the IC Engine
- Place the IC engine on the chassis and secure it using the included mounting bolts.
- Attach the fuel tank to the chassis and connect it to the engine using the fuel lines.
- Install the air filter on the engine.
- Install the muffler on the engine.
- Install the glow plug in the engine.
2. Install the Radio System
- Install the receiver on the chassis and secure it using the included mounting bolts.
- Connect the servos to the receiver.
- Install the steering servo on the chassis and connect it to the steering linkage.
- Install the throttle servo on the chassis and connect it to the throttle linkage.
3. Tune the Engine
- Start the engine using the starter box.
- Adjust the carburetor settings until the engine runs smoothly.
- Allow the engine to cool down.
- Check the spark plug and make sure it is clean.
4. Test Drive
- Start the engine and let it warm up.
- Slowly drive the car forward and backward to test the steering and throttle.
- Make any necessary adjustments to the steering and throttle settings.
Tips
- Use a high-quality fuel with a low nitro content.
- Keep the engine clean and well-maintained.
- Never run the engine at full throttle for extended periods of time.
- Be careful when handling the engine, as it can get very hot.
